Unlike most competitive alpine ski racing clubs, West Mountain Racing (WMR) works in tandem with West Mountain Ski Resort to ensure proper attention is given to WMR athletes and WM guests.  At West Mountain, we are 100% athlete and 100% general public driven. This partnership has created a welcoming environment for everyone at West Mountain. WMR and West Mountain also work closely with Queensbury Schools providing student athletes with an affordable schooling/ski racing option combining an intense WMR training schedule with a high-quality public education that has an administration and faculty who support WMR athlete's ski racing pursuits. Queensbury Schools offer a superb curriculum. Queensbury High School offers IB, AP, Regents, and More, and WMR offers incredible training, so your athlete does not have to compromise one for the other no matter what his/her ski racing goals are. WMR, WM, and Queensbury Schools support our FIS, USSS and HS racing athletes. This Resort/Club/School partnership very closely mirrors the European ski racing model that has been very successful in producing the top ski racers in the world: Respect and support of ski racing and ski racers, affordability, positivity, and fun at every level.
