WMR Programs

Welcome to West Mountain Racing! Registration for the Academy, Club, and Intro to Race Winter Programs Opens March 1 prior to the following winter season. Discount Cutoff Dates are: 4/30, 9/30, and 11/1. Registration closes on at midnight on November 1 ahead of the winter season. A $200 late fee applies to all registrations after midnight on November 1. Applications for the FIS Program are available April 1 prior to the following winter season. Registration for the WMR Mogul Freestyle Development 6-Week Program opens in October prior to the winter season.

  • WMR FIS Program--a FIS travel program for U18+ FIS alpine ski racers led by Head Coach Thomas Vonn. All participants must train and travel with WMR and use WMR as their Club affiliation. Details and applications are available HERE
  • WMR Academy Program (FIS Track) -a competitive alpine ski racing travel program led by Alpine Race Director/Head Coach Steve Lathrop for U12-U18 USSS and NYSSRA advanced alpine ski racers who have several years of ski racing experience. All participants must train and travel with WMR and use WMR as their club affiliation.   • WMR Club Program (USSS, HS Track) -a competitive alpine ski racing travel program for U8-U18 USSS and NYSSRA alpine ski racing athletes who have some racing experience. All participants must train and travel with WMR and use WMR as their club affiliation. Details and information are available HERE
  • Intro to Racing 6 Week Program--a development program for all-mountain skiers (ages 6-13) aspiring to be WMR alpine ski racers. Details and information are available HERE

WMR Code of Conduct--All athletes must adhere to WMR's Code of Conduct. Athletes who do not follow the Code may be removed from training, travel or possibly the team. If an athlete is removed from the team for a major Code of Conduct violation, a refund will not be given.

WMR Volunteer Service -- All WMR academy and full program families are required to work two WMR full-day race events per family during the season and one non-profit fundraising event. If families do not volunteer for two full days of races during the season, we will issue you a bill for $200 at the end of the season.

WMR Race Crew--If you, your spouse, your friends etc. would like to serve on our race crew and commit to helping with 10 or more race days, you will receive a full privilege season pass. Please email sara@westmountain.com if you are interested in being on the WMR Race Crew.
